Peace Trail Resale is a community-focused online resale shop based in Salome, Arizona, serving La Paz County and customers across the United States. Founded in 2023, our mission is simple: turn shopping into life-saving support for animals in need. We were created to support an (applied for) nonprofit dog rescue dedicated to the rehabilitation, care, and rehoming of vulnerable dogs.
Every purchase—whether made in our local Arizona resale store or through our online store—directly helps fund rescue operations, medical care, food, and safe shelter for dogs waiting for their forever homes.
Our shop offers a thoughtfully curated selection of antiques, vintage items, clothing, home décor, household goods, and everyday essentials. Our unique vintage pieces are carefully sourced from local collections and estate sales, giving each item a story while offering shoppers distinctive, stylish, one-of-a-kind finds. Every item is chosen with care to promote sustainability through reuse while making clean, quality, affordable goods accessible both in-store and online.
While we are proud to serve as a local shopping destination, our online store allows us to reach customers nationwide who want to shop with purpose and support animal rescue efforts from anywhere in the country. The Heart Behind the Store (and the Rescue)
Kimberly Petrea
Kimberly Petrea is the owner of Peace Trail Resale, a distinctive Western wear and antique shop located in Salome, Arizona. What began as a practical way to support a growing need soon evolved into a passion-driven business rooted in community and purpose.
Peace Trail Resale was created to help fund Kimberly’s animal rescue efforts, but it quickly became something more—a reflection of her love for the Western lifestyle, vintage treasures, and the stories behind them. The shop offers a carefully curated mix of Western wear, antiques, and one-of-a-kind finds, giving visitors a shopping experience that feels both nostalgic and unexpected.
Guests never quite know what they’ll discover, but they can always count on a warm welcome—and a visit from the shop’s two friendly resident cats, who have become part of the experience. Through Peace Trail Resale, Kimberly has created more than a store; she’s built a space where community, creativity, and compassion come together.
